FLORIDA GREEN BUILDING COALITION, INC.
MEMBER #1707

"The FGBC is devoting considerable effort to developing technical standards for a variety of green practices. The standards are developed to provide independent third-party verification, via FGBC, for a project's green planning and actions. As such, FGBC hopes that consumers and government agencies can rely on the FGBC symbol to assure there is no "greenwashing." Each of these standards requires appropriate environmental stewardship for certain activities. In this sense, green building is conceived as a process, not simply a noun."
